Lakeside Place – 47 Unit Apartment Building – Nelson, BC

In 2019 construction started on Lakeside Place, a 47 unit apartment building for low income housing, in Nelson, BC. Kays was awarded the a contract from Skuka to complete the following work:

• Foundation excavation. This included all the details for the strip and pad footings as well as a lock block wall retaining the adjacent buildings foundation.
• Utility sump pit installation for the storm and sanitary sewer.
• Interior/Exterior backfill, perimeter drain and excavation for the under slab utilities.
• Installing and commissioning the off site services(water, sewer, storm)  from the roadway to the building.
• Grading and exterior concrete prep for parkade access and pedestrian sidewalks.
