700 Block of Kootenay Street Sidewalk – New Denver BC

In the spring of 2025 Kays Contracting was awarded and completed the 700 Block of Kootenay Street Sidewalk project for the Village of New Denver in conjunction with True Consulting. The upgrades provided a new sidewalk, road profile and drainage infrastructure to Kootenay Street.

Our scope consisted of:

• Demolition of the existing roadway.
• Installing of catch basins and drywell to improve road drainage.
• Construct a retainaing wall, new curbing, sidewalk and asphalt paving.
• Construct new wheelchair ramps at the 6th Avenue and Slocan Avenue Intersections.
• Install all new signage and road markings.
